Creteil is a commune in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located in the Val-de-Marne department and is part of the Ile-de-France region. The town was established in 1970s as a new town designed to alleviate the overpopulation of Paris and provide the needs of the region.
Creteil has a population of approximately 90,000 people and covers an area of 11.48 square kilometers. The town is known for its modern architecture and urban planning. It has several cultural and entertainment facilities such as the Maison des Arts et de la Culture, the Théâtre de la Lucarne, and the Créteil Soleil shopping mall.
